Video cast number 1: Here is a very funny and informative look at how to get rid of Spyware or adware. In it, we give you four or five solid tips that will help you clean up any kind of spyware/adware infection that you might have. If your computer is running more slowly than normal, if you are are being flooded with pop-up ads, then this is the anti-spyware video for you! Please pass this link around to as many people as possible!! The file is rather large and our audio is not the greatest, but we believe it will be a very helpful and somewhat entertaining anti-spyware resource for many. Enjoy!

 

Update (January 2006) on the above video: For those that don't know, we do a weekly segment on Fox6 News (Thursday's at 9:30) - one of our recent episodes was on how to protect your computer from Spyware, Adware and viruses - we'll try to post a video of that segment here on our video page in the next few weeks. We are also working on a more advanced video that will help people clean their computer from Adware/Spyware This next video will be 20-30 minutes long, and will walk users step by step through the various steps of getting rid on an advanced adware/spyware/virus infection. We'll feature it on this page (as well as other relevant pages of our site, so check back with us soon) In case you are stuck now, here are four steps to getting rid of spyware infection: 1. Turn off Windows XP system restore (any strong adware/spyware infection will return on reboot unless you turn off system restore at the beginning) 2. Run several scans on your computer - We recommend Spybot Search and Destroy, Ad-Aware, and Cwshredder on the free side, or Pctools.com's Spyware Doctor or Spysweeper on the pay side. 3. Reboot and run a TrendMicro Housecall scan. 4. Install a preventative program like Spyware Blaster, or Microsoft's Anti-Spyware. That's very basic anti-spyware instructions, so if you have an advanced infection, hopefully we'll have that anti-spyware video up soon!
